How to find us

Manuscript Meetings are held at The Carriageworks Theatre, the main entrance of which is situated on Millennium Square. There is an alternative entrance from Great George Street, through The Electric Press courtyard. Coming for the first time, the easiest thing is to arrive early and head to Level 2, up four flights of steps from the entrance on Millennium Square. You’ll usually find members congregating in the bar area from around 6.45 pm. It should be pretty obvious who the writers are, as opposed to the actors, or at least we like to think so. Come say hello and introduce yourself.

Alternatively, if you want to be sure, or it’s close to 7pm, by which time we might already have drifted away from the bar area, you will find an A4 sheet to the left of the ticket office door, under the Level 0 sign.

You will be able to read from there (bring your glasses because the print is small!) which room we’ve been allocated for the night. It’s normally either Meeting Room 3 or 4, which are both reached from the end of the bar area via a long and very windy corridor. Occasionally, we get allocated Meeting Room 1, which is much nearer, signposted next to the staircase. You’ll see it pointing left before you get to the bar area. There are lifts and ramps available for disabled access.

You can be assured of a friendly welcome as a first-timer. We look forward to meeting you.
